Atmosphere.
Science. Impact.

APCG advances atmospheric physics and chemistry through observation, experimentation and modelling—turning scientific knowledge into measurable societal benefit.

Atmospheric Physics and Chemistry Group

01

Our group activities are targeted towards understanding physical and chemical processes in the atmosphere, seizing the opportunity provided by the complex and vulnerable Mediterranean environment.

02

It is our mission to promote world-class atmospheric research in the area by shedding light on problems of compelling scientific interest and increasing social relevance.

03

We are active in the fields of aerosol research, air quality, solar radiation and atmospheric chemistry, approached from a synergistic view angle that combines multiple experimental, observational and theoretical platforms.

04

We approach these fields from a synergistic viewpoint that combines multiple observational, laboratory and computational platforms, while we are also continuously adjusting to and incorporating new technologies and concepts such as the Internet of Things (IoT), Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV), Citizen Science and more.
